As Venkatesh prepares himself for the role of a boxing coach in the Telugu remake of Saala Khadoos (Irudhi Suttru in Tamil), here is the news that the film could go on the floors from Sept 7. The film is written and directed by Sudha Kongara, the one who directed the original.

To be produced by the makers of the original, the film will be presented by Prasad V Potluri. Except for Venkatesh, most of the cast and crew will be drawn from the original version. Ritika Singh, who played Madhi, will reprise herself. So also Mumtaz Sorcar, Nasser, Radha Ravi, Zakir Hussain, and Kaali Venkat, among others.

Music is by Santosh Narayanan of Kabali fame. Cinematography is by Sivakumar Vijayan. Art direction is by Santhanam.

Venky is not training himself on any martial technique, but he is bulking up (that too, only a bit) by following a diet regimen.
