Even though the Number One crown is pretty much sitting right on her head, Kareena Kapoor has always maintained that the number game doesn't quite matter for her. Still, in Bollywood where money does all the talking, does she still stick to her stand that being acknowledged as a commercially viable superstar doesn't matter?
"No of course it does matter," Kareena calls spade a spade here, "After all, in this industry you are as good as your last film. Eventually it is all about the commercial viability of the stars. Bollywood is about entertainment; this is what that sells here and we can't change that. In fact we must not try to change that and balance it all. This is what I have and will always believe in; one needs to play the balance act. I can and should never forget that basic aspect of my journey as an actress. I may try to please everyone but at the end of it all, basically I have to entertain my fans. "
Talking about entertainent then well, Kareena seems to be having some fun time in 'Ra.One', what with her on-screen son reprimanding her for using language which has words that give an impression of some choicest of abuses being mouthed by her.
Laughs Kareena, "Aaah, now that was sheer fun. I enjoy doing comedy and now after 'Golmaal Returns' and 'Golmaal 3', my role in 'Ra. One' too had these light hearted shades to it. Yes, there is a lot of 'gaali galaauj' here but then these are words that just seem like 'gaalis' instead of being the real ones. So no stress here."
