The Sankranthi tension is all over. The biggies like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan all have had a release in the last three months or so.

Only one man has been away from the festivities. And that is victory Venkatesh.

He should have been in the Sankranthi race but his Sankranthi (remake of Tamil Anandam) was delayed for various reasons and couldn't make it to the theaters in time.

But just as well. Now Venky has all the time in the world to learn from other's mistakes and make a clear and clean entertainer.

Sankranthi is very crucial for him as he has come out of the beating that his last film Gharshana took. Though a well-made flick, Gharshana was not a hit. And it must have hurt Venkatesh.

Sankranthi is now almost complete and the audio would be released on 20th January. 2005.

The film has a huge star cast. Apart from Venky, Srikanth, Siva Balaji, Sarvanand, Arti Agarwal, Sneha, Sangeeta and Rathi are in the roster. Muppalaneni Siva directs this film.

Scheduled for release in February, the movie looks set to be the second winner of 2005 after Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.
