Salman Khan is again in legal soup.. the 2012 famous Veer` - Salman Khan v/s Vijay Gilani case has popped up again. Reports suggest that producer Vijay Gilani has got the ruling in his favour after fighting the case in court for three years.
Sources say this is Vijay`s turn to give it back to the tinsel town`s powerful Salman Khan.. the producer who was once a dear friend (produced Suryavanshi in 1992) has slapped a huge 250 crore defamation case against the b-town superstar Salman Khan.
Veer producer Vijay Galani has accused Salman Khan of misconduct in professional behavior, mental agony and loss of reputation. As per reports Galani has being quoted saying, “I cannot tell you what I've gone through during the last three years .My mental agony and the money on lawyers has left me drained. I've filed Rs 250-crore defamation case against Salman for mental agony, harassment, loss of face. Who will give me back the 3 years that I've lost?
For those who are not fully aware about the case around two years after the release of Veer in 2010.. Salman Khan accused Gilani for not paying his Rs 15 crore due for the film. it is alleged that Salman Khan used his clout with FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) to ban Gilani from further filmmaking until he settles his dispute with Salman Khan.
Vijay Gilani has always maintained that he doesn,t owe any money to Salman and fought for the ban by FWICE.
Indiaglitz had followed the case and in our report in January 20, 2012 we published the official statement from Vijay Galani where AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures & T.V. Programme Producers) have stated that the claim made by actor Salman Khan doesn't stand as the actor has not been able to provide any documental evidence to support his claim.
Our published report had Ratan Jain President of AMPTPP saying that as per the MOU between FWICE and AMPTPP, FWICE cannot issue non co-operation directions unilaterally.

Vijay Gilani maintains that he agreed to give Salman a signing amount of Rs 10 crores for Veer and has beign quoted in leading daily papers saying, "In his entire career during those times, Salman had not received this kind of a signing amount. In fact his entire fee for Yuvraaj and Wanted and other films during that period was around Rs 7-8 crore each. We agreed that Salman would get Rs 15 crore if and when there is an 'overflow' (profits made by the film).
Salman completed the film happily. And I sold the film to Eros Entertainment. Eros, Salman and I drew up a tri-party agreement that the first overflow amount of Rs 15 crore would go to Salman."
Galani says that the film didn't earn any profit, yet Salman's office sent him a letter that asked Galani to show the original copy of the agreement letter and a letter stating that Salman finds the Rs15 crore overflow agreement to be unacceptable. Gilani was surprised by this sudden change in the stand.
Galani gave the case details to Court, reportedly Salman`s representatives failed to produce the evidence for their claim over money and Salman`s authority to direct a trade body FWICE to impose a ban on the producer.
