Renowned vocalist Alka Yagnik recently came out to say she has an unusual hearing problem. She announced this on an Instagram post including her diagnosis and experience. Yagnik suddenly lost hearing a few weeks ago when getting off a plane.

Writing to her friends, supporters, and well-wishers, she said, "A few weeks back, after coming out of a flight, I suddenly couldn't hear anything. Having some bravery, I am now ready to break quiet and explain why I have been absent in action.

" Doctors have diagnosed it as a rare sensory neural neural hearing loss caused by a viral attack," Yagnik said in explaining her illness. This unanticipated blow has been really shocking. I ask your prayers as I try to accept it.

She also advised her colleagues and admirers to be wary of loud music and headphones, especially for young musicians. I want to discuss further the health hazards in my line of work one day. With your love and help, I hope to straighten my life and be back to you not too far off. For me right now, your understanding means the world.

Both Alka Yagnik's followers and the music business have show great support for her decision. Singer Sonu Nigam promised to see her shortly; actress Ila Arun expressed her grief and extended blessings. Along with wishes for a quick recovery, Poonam Dhillon also extended her love.

Celebrated for hits like "Udja Kale Kawan," "Oodhni," and "Aaye Ho Meri Zindagi Mein," Yagnik has seven times received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
