Beloved celebrity couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt recently announced that they are about welcome their first child in the family. While their fans and fellow actors from the industry were delighted by this news, there were some people who thought that this was merely a promotional tactic for Ranbir and Alia's upcoming film 'Brahmastra'.

However, in a recent interview with a news outlet, Ranbir clarified that there is no truth to these rumors. He told Hindustan Times, "Alia and I, as a married couple, we thought that it would just seem right to tell the world, because we felt it was the right time. We just wanted to share the joy and the news with the world and there was no other thought to it.”

Unlike almost every other star of his generation, Ranbir Kapoor is not active on social media and he has stated that it is not going to change anytime soon. The actor revealed that his wedding to Alia (who is quite active on Instagram) has not compelled him to start using social media.

He said, “No, it didn’t compel me at all. I’m very happy at the place I’m at in my life,” he told. “And there was no other idea of joining social media. My stand is the same as it’s been in the last few years."

On the work front, Ranbir is currently gearing up for the release of his film 'Shamshera' after which he'll be seen alongside Alia in the much anticipated 'Brahmastra'.
