Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who welcomed her baby girl with husband Ranbir Kapoor earlier this month, took to Instagram and shared the first glimpse of her daughter, also revealing her name, which was chosen by her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor.

Alia and Ranbir have named their daughter ‘Raha.’ Sharing a blurred image of Ranbir cradling the baby with the name Raha imprinted on a Barcelona jersey on the wall, Alia captioned the post, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”

Alia Bhatt, who announced her pregnancy in June this year, gave birth to her daughter at the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai at 12.05 pm on November 6. Sharing the news on her Instagram page, the actress wrote, “And in the best news of our lives - Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!! love love love, Alia and Ranbir.” Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in a private ceremony at Ranbir’s Pali Hill residence Vastu in April this year.
