Alia Bhatt, who will perform at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards for the first time at its 18th edition in New York, says she is nervous and excited about her act.

The actress has been nominated for the Best Actress for two of her films - 'Dear Zindagi' and 'Udta Punjab'.

"I think I am 'nervsxcited'. Yes, I am nervous and excited at the same time not because of my nominations but for my performance as this is my debut. I am doing a lot of preparation.

"I want to look good on the green carpet as well as on stage. I am really looking forward to the event," Alia said here during a video call with international media.

Asked what are the songs she will be performing on, Alia said: "It will be a mix of a couple of hit songs from my film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', 'Kapoor & Sons'... It will be an energetic performance."
