Recently, Ali's daughter got married. Whereas many celebs and political leaders made it to the wedding, Ali's long-time friend Pawan Kalyan was absent. This made a section of the media write about the so-called chasm between the two.

In his latest interview, Ali said that there is no gap between him and Power Star. "I did invite Pawan Kalyan to the wedding by personally going to a set of his movie. He came up to me and we spoke for 15 minutes in private. When someone tried to interrupt, he didn't give them time as long as he was with me. He promised to attend the wedding. But he couldn't make it because he failed to catch the flight in time," Ali said.

Ali added, "Some websites who think we are not on good terms have no clue about our meeting and why Pawan Kalyan didn't turn up for the wedding."
