For years now, comedian and TV host Ali has received mangoes lovingly sent by Pawan Kalyan from his farmhouse in Hyderabad. The fruits, grown by following the methods of zero farming at the carefully-nurtured farmhouse, have made their absence felt this time, though. Ali, who has been a constant feature in most films of Power Star, has said that he hasn't received the Summer gift from the Jana Sena chief this time.

“My friendship with Pawan Kalyan garu goes back to the days of 'Tholi Prema'. I haven't got mangoes from him this year," Ali said, suggesting that it might be because of the lockdown or because the 'Vakeel Saab' actor has been too busy to keep the tradition alive. The Ali-Pawan duo had a public clash in 2019 in the run up to the elections. Their friendship is presumed to be a thing of the past.

It may be noted that, besides Ali, actor Nithiin and 'Gabbar Singh' director Harish Shankar have been regular recipients of mangoes from Pawan's farmhouse. If Nithiin is a die-hard fan of the 'Virupaksha' actor, Harish is no less a die-hard follower. The filmmaker has a project lined up with Pawan. It will have music by Devi Sri Prasad.
