Two of the biggest action stars of Bollywood Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are going to share screen with each other in Ali Abbas Zafar's big budget action thriller 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'. The film borrows its title from an Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda starrer film from the 90s which is why people are confused whether it is sequel or a remake or a reboot.
In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, director Ali Abbas Zafar has stated that his film has nothing to do with the orginal except for a small twist. He shared, “It has nothing to do with the old film but there’s a reason why it’s called Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. There is a very interesting twist in the film, which may act as an ode to the old Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.”
Comparing his film with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's 'War', Zafar said, "War was Hrithik v/s Tiger, and here, they are together and not against each other. It’s a very different space. It’s in the zone of cinema we used to see in the 80s – when Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra used to come together. Or even Karan Arjun for that matter. It’s a two-hero film, a buddy film.”
