Karthi Sivakumar is ready for his next offering. The actor's 'Alex Pandian', directed by Suraj, is nearing completion. The climax scene is being shot now. With this, the shoot will come to an end.

Anushka Shetty is playing the female lead and the film is simultaneously being made in Telugu as 'Bad Boy', since both Karthi and Anushka have fan following in Andhra Pradesh.

Says Suraj, "Alex Pandian will be loved by one and all. I would like to reiterate that only the title was inspired by a character played by Superstar Rajinikanth in Moondru Mugam and the film is no remake of the yesteryear hit."

Last week, a folk song was shot on Anushka and Karthi at a studio in Chennai. Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, it will be a colourful and peppy number, say unit sources.
