Sruthi Hassan, the darling daughter of one of India’s finest actors Kamal Hassan is multi talented with multilingual exposure, passionate, spirited and workaholic. Written off initially by Bollywood as well as South, she never felt it’s over. She fought hard and embraced all the opportunities she was presented with both the hands and slowly but surely started making inroads into the directors’ brains and audience's hearts. With twin successes in Telugu viz., ‘Gabbar Singh’ and Balupu, followed by Bollywood success ‘D-Day’, she has entered herself in the ‘Hit List’ of heroines in the country across regions.

In a pressmeet arranged on Tuesday for Shruti Hassan who was in town and wanted to thank the audience for the appreciation of her character 'Ammulu in the film 'Ramayya Vastavayya', she shared her feelings with the media including her role in the film, working relationship with Harish Shankar, her disappointment about being unable to dance opposite NTR etc.

She seemed to have inherited a lot from her father not just performance but passion and poise too. Just a few minutes of her presence in the pressmeet, everyone in the room are in complete awe of this woman and thought she is here to stay.

Excerpts from her talk in the pressmeet...

Sign In With Thanks...

‘I am so happy today... One, for being a part of such a successful project and two, for the kind of role I played and the amount of appreciation it is garnering. I thank director Harish Shankar and producer Dil Raju for keeping confidence in me and choosing me for this role.

Every Character Is Sketched Well...

This movie has all the characters sketched and etched very well and look at the casting, everyone including NTR, Samantha did their jobs to perfection. Music is fantastic and added great value as well.

I Didn’t dub My Voice...

No, I didn’t dub my voice in the film, Sravana Bhargavi did. I am definitely going to do that in future as my Telugu gets better

Great Second Experience...

It’s rare that you find someone comfortable enough to work for the second time in a row and it’s a great second experience for me with Harish Shankar. I feel honored for he has given me the character to play.

I Don't Look At The Duration Of The Character

I never look at a role on the features of length, number of dialogues but the efficacy of the character on the story and the impact of the character on the audience. So, when he narrated the story to me and told me it’s a special character, I looked at the audience’s point of view and said okay with a special confidence on Harish’s ability and my camaraderie with him.

Thaman Rocks...

Thaman has given the best music. All the songs in the film are well composed and mine is a wonderful melody. Thaman has a great eye for the BG scores and you can see the product to weigh the value of the RR in the film. I am happy that everyone is enjoying the music.

I am Watching The Movie Tonight...

I came back from shooting in Mumbai and I am going to watch it in the theaters for the first tiem and I am excited too.

Audience Give The Best Complement...

When the audience appreciates my character, I feel that’s the best complement and I am getting them in huge numbers.

Alas, I couldn’t Shake A Leg With NTR...

NTR is a wonderful person, passionate, talented and dedicated. Alas, I don’t have great moves in my song in the film but I have seen his other songs and he is a fabulous dancer.

And she signed off with grace...
