'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' vs 'Sarileru Neekevvaru': Of music, comedy & trailers

With the first two singles from 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' becoming blockbuster hits, it's presumed that the Allu Arjun-Trivikram movie has got an enormous buzz going for it. The film has seemingly got a huge edge over its Sankranthi competitor, 'Sarileru Neekevvaru', in this respect.
The focus of the media, however, is exclusively on the music of the Mega hero's movie. It's a fact that 'AV' is ticking the right boxes and Mahesh's movie is yet to make a start in this respect.
But it's also true that songs are not the only factor in determining a film's popularity. It has been a few years since Teasers and Trailers have become equally important. In fact, with the magic of Mani Sharma and Devi Sri Prasad dwindling this decade (in different degrees), the importance of audio has come down.
When you are talking about an Allu Arjun movie, his dance moves are as important as the other aspects of the song. Trivikram Srinivas' main challenge lies here. The picturization of AV's songs has to be out-of-the-world, especially with expectations being so high.
People attach a lot of importance to comedy nowadays. The humongous success of 'F2' proves it. If the audience believe that Anil Ravipudi's 'SN' has better quality comedy, 'AV' will have a reason to worry. Remember that, when it comes to comedy, Anil is in a better form than Trivikram. 'Agnyaathavaasi' and 'Aravindha Sametha' had literally no much comedy.
