It's known that 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' is going to be remade in Hindi. The remake was supposed to happen in Summer 2020 itself. Had it not been for the pandemic, it would have been released in theatres by now.

Be that as it may, the actors who will be stepping into the shoes of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde have been finalized. Young actor Kartik Aaryan will be reprising Bunny in the remake. And Kriti Sanon will be reprising Pooja Hegde.

Both are well-known names in Hindi. Kartik Aaryan yesterday suggested that he is on board by posting a video clip of himself jiving for 'Butta Bomma', the chartbuster from 'AVPL'. As for Kriti, she is already doing 'Adipurush', the multi-lingual film starring Prabhas as the hero. For the '1: Nenokkadine' actress, the 'AVPL' remake is a huge shot in the arm.

Official details about the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be known. The characters played by Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedekar and Jayaram will be difficult to be reprised in Hindi.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, 'AVPL' was a super-hit when it released in Telugu in January 2020. The film had Tabu, Samuthirakani, Sushanth and Nivetha Pethuraj in other roles.
