Director AL Vijay, after his dance drama Lakshmi starring Prabhudeva, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ditya Bande released last year, was announced to be having two releases on the same day, with his directorial ventures Watchman and Devi 2 scheduled to release on April 12.

However, now it has been revealed that only Watchman will make it to theaters on April 12, and that Devi 2 will be pushed to a later date in April or May. The trailer of Watchman was released before few days and has been receiving positive responses.

Watchman stars GV Prakash in the lead role, and Samyuktha Hegde and Yogi Babu will play important characters, while a dog plays a crucial part in the screenplay. On the other hand, Devi 2 is the sequel to the 2016 sleeper hit horror comedy Devi, and will feature Prabhudeva and Tamannaah in lead roles.
