Akshay Kumar, who has been going great guns at the box office with successes coming thick and fast, made it known during the launch of the trailer for his upcoming movie "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" that his recent films like "Selfiee" and "Mission Raniganj" were victims of very poor reception.
Explaining his commitment to his projects, the superstar said he could not control the box office results. He said, "We try again and again, whatever the genre," while speaking at the trailer launch event. "I don't limit myself to any one particular genre. If the film gets compared to any other succeeding or failing project, I shall continue to experiment with genres just as I have continued to do since then—be it social dramas, comedies, or action-packed ventures.
Sticking to his trait of honesty to the bone, Akshay emphasizes, "I won't limit myself to one type just because it's hot. Just because comedy and action are popular doesn't mean I have to do only those. One gets bored doing the same stuff." Reflecting back on his career, he remembered one phase in particular of giving 16 flops back-to-back. "I’ve been through such times before," he admitted. "But I strive, and I shall be doing the same again. Against all the odds, it's our hard work with the light of hope for success from this year's film. "We have strived, and now we need to expect the fruits of labor in the form of our good star."
