Aamir Khan's 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' is one of the best sports dramas to come out of Bollywood. Also starring Deepak Tijori, Ayesha Jhulka and Mamik Singh, the film was based on an inter-college bicycle race and it has become a cult classic over years. Few years ago, superstar Akshay Kumar had revealed that he was also one of the actors who auditioned for the role of villain in the film but was rejected since he was "crap".
Akshay had told Mid-Day, "Apna screen test diya maine, for Deepak Tijori’s role. And they didn’t like it. And, apparently, I was crap, so they removed me.”
As 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' completed thirty years of its theatrical release recently, director Mansoor Khan revealed why Akshay wasn't choosen for the part. He told a news outlet that despite having an impressive physique, Akshay was very wooden at the time of audition. He further added that he is amazed by how well Akshay went on to do in his career.
As of now, Akshay is gearing for the release of his period drama 'Prithviraj'. Apart from that, he will also be seen in projects like 'Ram Setu', 'Oh My God 2', 'Mission Cinderella' and others.
