Akshay Kumar tries to justify his pseudo interview with PM Modi

Few years back, superstar Akshay Kumar sat down with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to interview him for a TV program. During this interaction, Akshay presented several trivial and insignificant questions in front of the Prime Minister instead of having a relevant and insightful conversation. Naturally, Akshay faced a fair amount of backlash and trolling by netizens for this fake interview.
Now in a recent media interaction, Akshay recalled his chat with PM Modi and tried to justify it. The actor told ANI, "As a common man, I just wanted to know ki why does our PM wear his watch the way he does? I just wanted to know it."
Further explaining why he didn't question the Prime Minister about his policies and decisions, Akshay said, "It’s not my job to ask him about his policies. What he has done? Why he has done it? It all looks fake, if I would do that. I just wanted to ask him very simple straight questions. And that’s it."
On the work front, Akshay is currently busy with the promotion of his film 'Prithviraj' which is set to come out this Friday.
