'Kanchana 2' was one of the most successful blockbuster sequels in the history of Tamil cinema. The sequel to the 2011 blockbuster 'Kanchana' released in 2015. The film was directed and produced by Raghava Lawrence who acted in the lead role. The Horror comedy flick went on to make huge profit and also joined the prestigious 100 crore club.
Latest reports suggest that 'Kanchana 2' is going to be remade in Hindi and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar who has acted in many South Indian remakes will reprise the role played by Lawrence in the original. We will have to wait for an official confirmation.
It must be noted that Akshay is making his Tamil debut with '2.0' directed by Shankar with Rajinikanth in the lead role.
