Actor Ajith and director Siva have just delivered the expensive and highly anticipated film 'Vivegam' which hit the screens last week and has been making great collections at the box office despite mixed reviews. This is the actor-director duo's third film together after 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam'.
'Veeram' released in 2014 was a super hit and it gave a complete makeover for Ajith in a completely rural getup. The actor was clad in a white- shirt and veshti throughout the film. 'Veeram' was remade in Telugu ad 'Katamarayadu' with Pawan Kalyan and the film released in March this year.
Now news reports suggest that 'Veeram' will be reaching a much larger spectrum of Indian audience as plans are afoot for its Bollywood remake. The source adds that the Hindi remake of 'Veeram' will have Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film will be directed by Farhad Samji (of Sajid-Farhad director duo) and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Akki will be sporting a lungi in this film and the film has been tentatively titled as 'Land of Lungi'.
It is worth noting that Akshay Kumar makes his Kollywood debut playing the lead antagonist in Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions.
