Akshay Kumar was last seen in the espionage thriller 'Bell Bottom' where he played a RAW field operative. The plot revolved around RAW's plan to rescue passengers of a plane hijacked by terrorists. The film had all the elements of being a blockbuster and soon after its release on Amazon Prime Video, it became a huge hit. Elated by such performance, Akshay took to Twitter to thank audience for their appreciation.

He shared a video in which he said, "Thank you for giving Bell Bottom so much love. Your love means everything to me. Agar waqt hota toh speech de data thank you par. But dil se thank you."

Talking about the film with a news outlet, Akshay said, "With a film like BellBottom, we wanted to reach audiences far and wide. The film has got its due within such a short span of time, thanks to their reach, more and more people have been able to watch the film from the comfort of their homes. I am humbled that the film is getting the kind of love and appreciation from the audiences.”

Directed by Ranjit Tewari, 'Bell Bottom' starred, Lara Dutta, Adil Hussain, Vaani Kapoor and others in pivotal roles.
