Akshay Kumar was recently busy shooting for one of his upcoming film in London. He had to hurry back home to aid his ailing mother on Monday morning. Apparantly Akshay was filming for a project titled 'Cindrella' when he got to know that his mother is unwell and had been admitted to the ICU. While leaving the project midway, Akshay reportedly instructed the crew to shoot scenes where he is not required to be in the frame.

Recently, some pictures from the sets of Akshay's 'Cindrella' got viral. The film is being directed by Ranjit Tiwari who also helmed 'Bell Bottom'. Also starring Rakul Preet Singh, the film is said to be a psychological thriller. Apart from this Akshay is also awaiting the release of his film 'Sooryavanshi', a cop drama. He also has several other projects like 'Atrangi Re', 'Bachchan Pandey', 'Prithviraj' and more in the pipeline.

His film 'Bell Bottom' was released theatrically a little while ago. It became the first movie to have a wide theatrical release post pandemic.
