Akshay Kumar's Rs 120 Cr fee blows away industry's mind

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar was the most profitable actor in India last year. In 2019, he delivered one blockbuster after another. The versatile actor ended 2019 with 'Good Newzz' (literally) for the industry. The family-comedy entertainer, made at a cost of Rs 40 Cr, has netted Rs 200 Cr in India alone. Earlier in the year, 'Housefull 4', made at a cost of Rs 75 Cr, crossed the Rs 210 Cr mark successfully. 'Mission Mangal', too, was such a big deal.

On the back of such massive hits, Akshay has revised his remuneration. And, guess what, he is now the highest-paid actor in the country. He will be laughing all the way to the bank by earning Rs 120 Cr on his next movie, which will be directed by Anand L Rai. Starring also Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush, this one is going to be a major 2020 release.

Akshay will not get the entire amount as advance or before the film closes its business deals. The fee will be on the basis of how much the film makes, especially at the box-office.

The figure is blowing away the mind of the film industry in the country.
