Akshay Kumar reacts to boycott Raksha Bandhan trend

These days, it is common to see people getting offended and reacting strongly to things which are of very little concern. Whenever a big budget movie is about to release in Bollywood, a certain group of people who don't like the actor or director, starts calling for a boycott. Actor Akshay Kumar recently addressed this issue during a recent promotional event for his film 'Raksha Bandhan'.

When asked to share his views on people demanding a boycott of 'Raksha Bandhan', Akshay said, "As I just said this, it is a free country, everyone can do what they want. But this all (speaking about the two big releases) helps the economy of India. We are all at the verge of becoming the biggest and the greatest country. I would request them (the trolls) and you (the media), don’t get into it."

Apart from this one, Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is also facing similar issue. Talking about that, Aamir had said, “That boycott Bollywood, boycott Aamir Khan, boycott Laal Singh Chaddha. I feel sad. I feel sad because a lot of people who are saying this in their hearts believe I am someone who doesn’t like India. In their hearts they believe that, but that’s quite untrue."

'Raksha Bandhan' and 'Laal Singh Chaddha' are both going to release on 11th of August.
