Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Setu': 45 junior artists contract coronavirus

The coronavirus scare continues to make news, with celeb after celeb contracting the virus. Last week, Alia Bhatt tested positive. On Sunday, Akshay Kumar tested positive and said that he had isolated himself at home. Latest reports say that 45 junior artists who were supposed to start shooting for 'Ram Setu', Akshay's ambitious Bollywood movie, have contracted the virus.

Contrary to speculations, the junior artists didn't contract the virus on the sets of the film. They were supposed to join the sets on Monday. The film's producer had them undergo tests before they could join the unit of the film. Out of 100 artists tested, 45 tested positive for Covid-19.

The pandemic scare is literally sending Bollywood into a tizzy on a daily basis. Films are getting postponed, theatres are not able to run shows, audiences are not turning up to watch movies, and now shoot schedules have started to be thrown out of gear.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Akshay has been hospitalized. It seems his hospitalization has been done as a precautionary measure. Last week, Sachin Tendulkar admitted himself to a hospital even though he has been asymptomatic.
