Akshay Kumar played the role of Pakshiraja who fights for the right of birds to live in this world in Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' directed by Shankar. Even though his character was portrayed as a villain he reached the audience as the hero in the mega film. The Bollywood superstar is proving that he is indeed a true hero in real life after donating the huge amount of rupees one and a half crores for a housing project exclusively for transgenders.
The housebuilding project for transgenders is initiated by Raghava Lawrence through his trust and Akshay has given it a big takeoff with his generous donation. The Khiladi actor is currently shooting for 'Laaxmi Bomb' the Hindi remake of 'Kanchana' directed by Lawrence and since he is playing the role of a transgender he has felt the connection and acted upon it instantly.
