Buzz had been out that B-Town's superstar Akshay Kumar was detained at the London Heathrow Airport by officials due to to issues with the stamping of his passport. However, the news turned out to be quite shocking not only for industry walas but for the actor himself and his team.

Akshay had flown to London to take part in the shooting of his new film 'Rastom' and the Airport officials were just doing their routine check about the actor's passport details. Since Akshay owns a Canadian passport, he didn't require visa to enter UK and the officials had to double check on his documents. This process took a bit longer; such that Akshay had to wait for nearly one and half hour more. But he didn't have any qualms and cooperated with the Airport officials.

Akshay's team clarified all these and even added that the actor didn't impose his stardom on the officials and was very patient with them. Later the officials even apologized Akshay for the delay. “It is being claimed that Akshay was detained`, which is absolutely incorrect. It was just a delay for which immigration apologised and he went on with his day,” quoted Akshay's close source.

Akshay Kumar aka Akki has now become a household name in South after he started working as the chief antagonist in Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' directed by Shankar.
