Akshay Kumar has teamed up with the National award-winning filmmaker Tinu Suresh Desai for his latest project titled "Mission Raniganj - The Great Bharat Rescue." Now, the official teaser of the real-life survivor drama is out and gone viral.

The protagonist's role is inspired by a real-life hero, the late Jaswant Singh Gill. In November 1989, engineer Jaswant led a challenging mission to rescue the miners trapped in a flooded coal mine in Raniganj. This remarkable true incident is documented in Mission Raniganj and Akshay Kumar plays the lead. It is regarded as one of the world's most successful rescue operations against all odds.

The minute-long video is packed with the tension of a survival drama and ambition of a determinant man to overcome the obstacles. The making looks solid with promising music and camera work. Within 24 hours, the teaser managed to clock a massive 40 million views of its release. The fans are looking forward to the theatrical release of Mission Raniganj.

The star cast comprises Parineeti Chopra, Ravi Kishan, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Kumund Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Pavan Malhotra and Varun Badola among many others. Mission Raniganj is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment. The cinematic marvel is set to hit the theatres on October 6th, 2023.
