A few days ago, Akshay Kumar was diagnosed with Covid-19 and subsequently hospitalized as his health deteriorated. But now the actor has recovered and returned home. Akshay didn't confirm this himself but his wife and former actress Twinkle Khanna took to Instagram to share an adorable post celebrating the homecoming of her husband. The post she shared features a greyscale cartoon version of the couple posing against a household backdrop with Twinkle holding her book Mrs Funny Bones in her hands.

The caption on the post read, "Safe and sound and good to have him back around. #allizwell." So we guess it is safe to assume that the actor is back home after testing negative. Akshay has a tight schedule for next few months as he has several films underproduction. He was starting to work on 'Ram Setu' when he tested positive.

He shared a statement on Instagram sharing the news about his illness. It read, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care."

A day after this, Akshay was hospitalized.
