Television actor Sachin Kumar, who was known for his role in Ekta Kapoor's show 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii', passed away on Friday after suffering a heart attack. Sachin was popular Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's cousin brother.

Sachin also appeared in the TV show Lajja and later turned to a career in photography. Sachin's friend Rakesh Paul confirmed the news of Sachin's death on Facebook with a post that read, "Will always remember your smiling face mere bhai... Sachin Kumar, gone way too soon yaar... May you be in eternal peace bro." In an interview with a news agency, Rakesh stated, "I couldn't see him by the time I learnt about his demise, he was already taken to the crematorium. What I have learnt is that he went to sleep and the next day he did not open the door. His parents panicked and they got keys and when they opened the door, he had passed away. He was staying with his parents." Speaking about his memories with the actor, Rakesh further added, "We lived in the same area and were like brothers. Every time we reconnected on phone, or through messages we promised each other to stay connected. I remember when we met he used to make pakoras and feed us...Life is so unpredictable man, having snacks especially pakoras will always remind me of my dear friend. My heart goes out to his family."

Sachin reportedly passed away two days after celebrating his birthday on May 13. He was apparently very close to Akshay Kumar, who reached Sachin's residence along with his mother less than an hour after hearing the news of his demise.
