One of the biggest downsides of being a celebrity is that you often become a subject of fake news and rumours. In order to boost their viewership, media houses do not shy away from spreading half baked news about celebs which usually have no credibility. Recently, actor Akshay Kumar called out an online news portal for posting that he owns a private jet worth 260 crore rupees.

He shared a news story by Bollywood Life which read, "Akshay Kumar's fees has always been the talk of the town. The actor does many movies in a year, so it is not surprising that he has his own private jet. Reportedly it costs around 260 crore rupees."

On the work front, Akshay's last two theatrical films 'Bachchan Pandey' and 'Atrangi Re' were box office duds and now he is gearing up for the release of much anticipated archeology based film 'Ram Setu'.
