Akshay Kumar's 'Gabbar is Back' is the remake of Captain Vijaykanth starrer 'Ramana', directed by A.R.Murugadass. Speaking about the film Akshay Kumar said that he specifically avoided seeing the original because he did not want to be influenced by Vijaykanth`s performance which he felt was unique.

Gabbar is Back` stars Shruthi Haasan, Kareena Kapoor, Suman Talwar and Sunil Grover and is directed by Krish of Vaanam` fame and is releasing on the 1st of May 2015.
