Looks like Akshay Kumar got his Valentine’s Day gift from his wife a bit in advance this year. Twinkle Khanna gave Akshay a standing ovation after watching his latest heist drama.

For the first time ever in his career, Akki received a standing ovation from Twinkle after she saw his latest film ‘Special 26’.

Revealed our source, "As usual, he recently held a special screening for Twinkle. After watching the show, the actress-turned-interior designer couldn’t have been prouder of her hubby."

"It was a first in our 12 years together as a married couple, Needless to add, I’m more than just happy about it," gushed the actor- producer.

Interestingly, Akshay wasn’t interested in the project when the script was initially offered to him. However, he’s exhilarated to have eventually agreed to play a "different" role.

The actor says, "As an actor, you always want to do something new and I’m extremely glad that the film is receiving good response. This film deserves every bit of it."

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, ‘Special 26’ got released on 8th Feb and also stars Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpai and Jimmy Shergill in pivotal roles.
