Akshay, Aishwarya caught in Retro fever

Our birdies earlier had brought in the buzz about the classic era feel in Vipul Shah’s Action Replayy. Now here they have got more titbits about it…

In this time travel saga, one would be taken back to Seventies with the help of Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - both of whom had gone in for complete makeover in their looks and style.

The film features a groovy retro number that looks to be inspired from Hollywood star John Travolta’s style. A big bhakt of Travolta our Khiladi Kumar had been gung-ho to don the icon’s image. Akshay, who has a good ear for retro music said, “The 70s was full of energy, that’s the reason why retro is hip. There is something about the fashion and music of that era which makes it so funky even today and perhaps it will always be that way.”

Both Akki and Ash said to have a blast when they took the floor to shoot this disco song. However, when things were beginning to warm up, Aishwarya got down with high fever and the shooting has been given a break.

Imagine Akshay and Aishwarya doing all that classic jigs and turns on the contemporary screens… Looks like Vipul Shah with the jodi’s magic, will repeat the history by bringing back the disco era…
