We earlier informed you that Akshara Haasan's upcoming film 'Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu' will skip a theatrical release and premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video from March 25. Now, the trailer of the critically acclaimed movie has been doing rounds on the internet over the last few days.

The 1.5 minute long video shows Akshara as Pavithra, a 19-year old smart and curious teenager who is finding it hard to manage a balance between societal expectations and personal desires. 'Will Pavithra be able to be herself against the taboos?' forms the crux of the whole movie. Directed by Raja Ramamurthy, the film has already been to many film festivals and won accolades.

The eccentric characters and quirky dialogues throughout the trailer promises us that 'Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu' will be a worthy watch. The cast of the coming-of-age film includes Usha Uthup, Malgudi Subha, Janaki Sabesh, Anjana Jayaprakash, Shalini Vijayakumar, Kalairani, Siddhartha Shankar, Suresh Menon, George Maryan, Kiran Keshav.

‘Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu’ (The Myth of the Good Girl) was earlier screened at the HBO’s South Asian International Film Festival, Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival at Boston, Chicago South Asian Film Festival, Atlanta Indian Film Festival, Tasveer South Asian Film Festival at Seattle and the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival in Canada.
