'Bangarraju', the purported sequel to 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', has got an official update from Akkineni Nagarjuna. In his latest interview, the senior actor said that he has been holding video calls with writer-director Kalyan Krishna these days.

"We are working on it. Once film shootings are recommenced, we are planning to take the film on the floors," Nag told a Telugu daily.

Ahead of the release of 'Wild Dog', Nag had said that the film will be a Sankranthi release, whichever year it might be. "This is a Sankranthi film. If it's not possible to start the shoot this year and hit the marquee in January 2022, 'Bangarraju' will release for Sankranthi 2023," the 'Officer' and 'Manmadhudu 2' actor added.

Nag is also doing an action thriller with director Praveen Sattaru. Its release date is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, 'Wild Dog' started streaming on Netflix the other day in three south Indian languages.
