The launch of Akhil Akkineni was held at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad amidst fans and celebrities. Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, K.Raghavendra Rao, Amala, Naga Chaitanya, V.V.Vinayak etc attended the event. K.Raghavendra Rao introduced Sayesha Saigal as heroine.

Nithiin said, "Nagarjuna sir is the reason why I am here as a producer. Though many producers approached Nag, he gave the responsibility of introducing Akhil to us and we are thankful to him. Nagarjuna is king in love stories and also mass films like Shiva, Mass etc. Akhil looks very smart and he is teaming up with a pakka mass director like Vinayak. So the film will be like a combination of Geethanjali, Shiva etc. I assure that the film will be very good and Akkineni fans will be sure proud of it".

Nithin added that it was very difficult for him to find a heroine for Akhil because of his colour and finally roped in Sayesha Saigal as she is a perfect match.

K.Raghavendra Rao said, "I clapped for Nagarjuna's first film 'Vikram' directed by my guru Victory Madhusudhana Rao. He is now in such a top position doing characters never done by anyone before. Now Akhil is debuting in the direction of a director who has three victories in his name, V.V.Vinayak. I am sure Akhil will be very successful. All the best for Nithin as a producer".

Naga Chaitanya said, "This is a very happy day for me and all of us. I've been waiting for this day for many years. After watching 'Sisindri', I felt "If he did such a film in such a young age, he will be very successful after becoming a hero". Akhil always tries for perfection and he will be a trendsetter for sure. He will impress not only Telugu audiences, but also everyone in the country. He is going to be real all rounder for Telugu film industry. I wish him, V.V.Vinayak and Nithin all the very best for this film. Nithin promised me that the film will be a super hit and he should fulfill it".

V.V.Vinayak said, "I promise Nagarjuna sir that I will not let him down and the film will be successful. Like everyone, I was also shocked watching Akhil in 'Manam'. I totally liked him. We will work together for a super hit and I assure that".

Sayesha Saigal said, "I feel blessed to be making my debut under the able direction of V.V.Vinayak and the production of Sudhakar Reddy, Nikitha and Nithin. It makes even more special to have a fantastic co star like Akhil, who is already so popular. I thank everybody who gave me this opportunity. I am thrilled to act with Akhil and I am sure he will make it big". She added that her family and the Akkinenis have a special relation as her grandfather Dilip Kumar did 'Devdas' in Hindi and ANR did 'Devadasu' in Telugu.

Nagarjuna said, "Everyone is excited, but we are having butterflies in stomach. We miss our father so much at this event. But it was only because of ANR, Akhil acted in 'Manam'. It was our father's idea to make him act in the movie. His blessings will be with Akhil forever. I know how hard Nithin and his father Sudhakar Reddy are working for this film. THe film is not a love story as being speculated, it will be out and out mass entertainer".

Akhil said, " I thank my him and mother on this occasion. My mother tells me how to live as a good human being and my father always tells about fans and how to give back for their love. My father recently said all about what is carrying on legacy and how tough it is. I became emotional when my brother is speaking. I promise we will act in a multistarrer. I am really fortunate to be spending time with my uncle Venkatesh for the last five years when playing CCL. Anyone falls in love with him if they spend 5 minutes with hijm. He is such a great human being. V.V.Vinayak sir looked like a search light for me when I was in dark. Because I promised fans that I will arrive with a blockbuster and I really don't know what to do. When I heard Vinayak's story and his vision, I felt he will launch me well, so that I can fulfill the promise to fans. I never thought that my brother and friend Nithin will be my producer. I know him for the last 5 years. Two years back, he said that I was going in a wrong track and I should do the first film for my fans. I thank Nithin, Nikitha and Sudhakar Reddy because, they are looking after me like their family member. I am very confident on the script. I thank each and every technician who is working for this film. Anoop Rubens and Thaman will work for the film and I am sure they will rock. I miss my grandfather now. Everyone knows he used to not believe in God. I think it was because he used to see God in fans. So I promise that I will work to satisfy fans. Let's all meet again at the audio launch.
