After the disastrous performance of his debut movie, the Akkineni scion Akhil is taking very cautious moves. After much deliberation, he zeroed in on Hanu Raghavapudi's script, but the same didn't fructify, as the hero-director duo had been committed to make a film with two different producers. That proved to be a blessing in disguise. Akhil immediately got a project with the director who first shot him - Vikram Kumar.

Nagarjuna's personal involvement has been paying off remarkably well. It's he who spent a lot of time deliberating on various ideas/story lines.

After a technically superb talent like Vikram Kumar, Akhil may get to work with the Mass Maharaja among directors. No prizes for guessing that it's Boyapati Sreenu. In all probability, Boyapati will direct Akhil's third, which could materialize only in the first half of 2017. For now, Akhil is looking forward to shooting for his second in the new year.

Boyapati's choice of heroes, meanwhile, is catching everyone by surprise. After delivering an industry hit with Allu Arjun, he could have enlisted a big star. However, he is directing someone with no star image - Bellamkonda Srinivas - only because he had given a word. With Akhil, he is going to continue this streak.
