EXCLUSIVE: Akhil on NTR, Mahesh, Charan & others

Speaking to IndiaGlitz in a freewheeling chat, Akhil Akkineni has opened up on quite a few interesting matters.  Here we bring you what he told us about some of the biggest stars in the Telugu film industry, giving up smoking and more.

When asked which individual some specific words remind him of, the 'Mr. Majnu' actor gave interesting replies:

Smart: Tarak

Hardworking: My brother (Naga Chaitanya)

Cunning: Rana

Mass: Chiranjeevi garu

Handsome: Mahesh Babu

Dance: Ram Charan

He then took more Rapid Fire questions:

Cricket or cinema?: Playing cricket as an actor (Celebrity Cricket League)

Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli: Sachin.  Always. He has been my biggest inspiration.

Favourite Nagarjuna movie: 'Hello Brother'

Favourite romantic movie of Nagarjuna: 'Manmathudu'

Favourite Amala movie: 'Pushpak'

Favourite holiday spot: Croatia

Romantic or action entertainer?: Tough one. Right now romantic movies.

On Nag planning his career:

"My dad doesn't control my career.  He merely advises me and my brother.  Maybe because of my first two movies, it started looking like that to people."

On smoking habit:

"I have given up smoking.  I was not much of a smoker.  There is not much to it.  I decided to quit and did it.  I think everyone should quit."

On doing a sports drama:

"I love sports films.  But it's not easy to make a sports film.  Too many technicalities would be there to any sports movie.  You can't just make a commercial sports film.  It has to look authentic.  Unless something really really special comes, I won't do".
