The launch of Akhil's next in the direction of Vikram Kumar saw the attendance of the members of Akkineni family. Produced by dad Nagarjuna, the movie is co-produced by Mana Enterprises. If Sathya and Sagari (great grand-daughters of ANR) gave the first clap, K Raghavendra Rao switched the camera on. The muhurat at 6:17 p.m. at Annapurna Studios also saw Amala, Naga Chaitanya, Supriya, Naga Suseela, Sumanth, Sushanth and Yarlagadda Surendra's presence.

The film marks the coming together of the 'Manam' combination of director, music director (Anup Rubens), cinematographer (PS Vinod), Art director (Rajeevan) and Editor (Prawin Pudi). "I am very happy to team up with Annapurna Studios after a hit like 'Manam'. This is going to be a different commercial venture", the director said.

Nag too expressed confidence that the 'Manam' combo will create a trend. "Patience always pays. Puja is done and Akhil's film is on," a proud father later said.

The film's regular shoot will start from April 3.
