Naga Chaitanya seems very happy with the super success of 'Manam' and the response for his characters in the movie.

Naga Chaitanya said that it was Vikram Kumar's idea to cast Akhil in 'Manam'. "I liked Vikram Kumar's idea and said to Akhil that he will not get such an entry, even if he acts as a solo hero. He is very lucky to get such an introduction".

Answering a question if Akhil will be a competition for him in the future, Naga Chaitanya said "Definitely. Whether between family members or others, there should be a competition. Without that healthy competition, it is impossible to grow as actors. Akhil is planning his career well and I'm sure he will become a good actor".

About if he gives suggestions to Akhil regarding acting, Naga Chaitanya replied " Akhil himself gives me suggestions. Not me".
