Akhil Akkineni, who recently told the world that he is in love with Shreya Bhupal, a Hyderabad-based fashion designer, has openly said that he won't be marrying any time soon. This comes in the context of speculation that the wedding of Akhil and his bro Naga Chaitanya will be held in 2017. As he is too young for marriage, many naturally wondered if he is getting married quite early. At the recently held SIMA function in Singapore, Rana and Lakshmi Manchu asked him on stage about this.

The one-film old actor, however, has had a change of mind. He is ready to get engaged to Shreya sooner than later, but marriage has been deferred by a few years. Akhil has admitted that his decision is based on the advice of his dad, mother and well-wishers.

It looks like he wants to better focus on his career for some more years. For many months, he has been listening to a number of scripts for his second movie. Only recently, he finalized Hanu Raghavapudi's script.
