Pooja Hegde will be seen as a stand-up comedian in 'Most Eligible Bachelor', which is all set to hit the screens on October 15. Director Bhaskar, who is known for 'Bommarillu', has revealed that he was skeptical about casting the 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' actress for the role, considering that she is a star actress who might not fit in.
In his latest interview, the filmmaker confessed that, contrary to his expectations, she proved her mettle beyond doubt. "This is the first time that Pooja has played a character of this kind. I was worried before starting the shoot that she might not work out for the role. I am surprised at the efforts she has put in for the character. Since it's a one-of-its-kind of character, she gave her best," the director said.
Akhil Akkineni is in agreement. "She channelized all her energy. Pooja gave her heart to the character. She is a workaholic who keeps flitting between movies. She was doing six movies in three languages while doing 'MEB'. I really appreciate her. She was passionate and energetic while doing our movie," the Akkineni hero said.
'Most Eligible Bachelor' is a family entertainer where the romantic drama is going to be youthful.
