A report has said that the Tamil-dubbed version of 'Akhanda' is all set to hit the screens this Friday in Tamil Nadu. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film has been streaming in Telugu on Disney+Hotstar. Despite its availability on OTT, 'Akhanda' has been released in theatres in Tamil.

A source says that Tamil Nadu distributors have shown interest in the movie since no straight Tamil film is coming out this week due to the pandemic. Vishal's movie, which is titled 'Saamanyudu' in Telugu, has been postponed indefinitely. Since 'Akhanda' is a mass masala entertainer, exhibitors are hoping to mint some money by playing the movie.
Co-starring Srikanth, Pragya Jaiswal, Nithin Mehta, Jagapathi Babu and Purna, 'Akhanda' has music by Thaman.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna awaits the premiering of Mahesh Babu's 'Unstoppable' episode on Aha from February 4. This is the finale. Balakrishna's movie with Gopichand Malineni will go on the floors once the actor's shoulder problem goes away. He has lived with the issue for more than three months.
