After the success of Pyaar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan is back with his team once again with Akaash Vani, again a mushy love story between Akaash And Vani two young college going kids. Luv Ranjan has penned the lyrics himself while the music has been composed by Hitesh Sonik. Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Tiwari who were the lead in Pyaar Ka Punchnama play the lead in this film again.
Pad Gaye JI
Singers: K.K & Sunidhi Chauhan
The album kick stars with a melodius track Pad Gaye Ji. The song begins with the soft notes of the piano followed by the guitar strums. A very catchy and relaxing number. K.K. and Sunidhi Chauhan have lent their sonorous voice to this soft number taking it to another level. Lyrics by Luv are very contemporary.
Crazy Lover
Singers: Vishal Dadlani & Sunidhi Chauhan
The album moves ahead with another crazy dance number Crazy lover. Vishal Dadlani and Sunidhi Chauhan add their energy to this track, which is accompanied by a lot of drums and guitar. The lyrics are hinglish and Luv has penned a fun number here. The song a dance number is very lively and vivacious and definitely a club number with a very youthful feel.
Bas Main Aur Tu
Singer: Nikhil D'Souza
The third track Bas Main Aur Tu once again is a soft melodic love ballad. The song is accompanied by a lot of guitar strums with Nikhil D'Souza's husky rendition. Lyrics by Luv are very simple. A simple rendition with it's romantic moods.
Reprise.: Nikhil D'Souza & Vasudha Sharma
The track has another 'reprise version' which is quite similar to the one heard before and there is hardly any differentiation between the two. This one could have been dropped off in the album.
Rumani
Singers: Thomson Andrews & Shalmali Kholgade
A very western track by debutant singer Thomson Andrews husky voice accompanied by Shalmali Kholgade resonant voice. The song is interspersed with a lot of drums and is a very soft sexy club track. Everything seems to be right in this track, the instrumentation, the amazing poetic lyrics, the choice of playback singers.
Tera Mera Naam
Singer: Shafqat Amani Ali
The album ends with a sad track Tera Mera Naam in the vocals of Shafqat Amanat Ali. It starts quite well with the pleasant sounds of a piano and guitar strums and is a situational number. It is the best track of the album and Shafqat's soft voice blends with the music in the background. The lyrics are very mushy and change the mood of the romantic numbers to pathos. Lyrics by Luv Ranjan are simply superb.
Overall: A very average album from Hitesh Soni. The film being a romantic venture had a lot of scope for romantic tracks. Pad Gaye Ji, Rumani and Tera Mera Naam are the only tracks which hold a lot of promise and will have repeat values.
