Ajith Kumar's loyal fans who number in millions have been waiting for an official update on the mass hero's next movie 'AK 62'. The project which changed hands from director Vignesh Shivan to Magizh Thirumeni has been in hectic preproduction for the past couple of months.

Meanwhile Ajith's father P. Subramaniam passed away recently and several top heroes including Thalapathy Vijay, STR, Sivakarthikeyan, Suriya and Karthi visited his house to console their long time industry colleauge.

Tamil Kumaran , the Tamil Nadu head of Lyca Productions and director Magizh Thirumeni met Ajith and personally expressed their condolences. Later in front of the Ajith Kumar residence in Chennai Tamil Kumaran was asked by the press about 'AK 62'. He gave the strong hint that good news about the project will come next month (April) and there already reports in the media that the shooting will commence in May.

As far as we know 'AK 62' will have music by Anirudh Ravichander and talks are in with stars such as Kajal Aggarwal, Arulnithi and others. The cast and crew details are expected along with the official announcement.

Ajith has already announced that he would be embarking on the second leg of his world bike tour called "Ride For Mutual Respect" as soon as he wraps up his portions of shooting of 'AK62'.
