Its common knowledge that veteran actor Mohan delivered the most number of hit movies ever in Tamil cinema during the 80s and 90s. His films were especially enjoyed by Tamil audiences for the family centric stories and lilting melody songs of Ilayaraja.
Mohan went into a self imposed hiatus for almost three decades and is now making a comeback to Tamil cinema with 'Haraa' directed by Vijay Sri G in which he is paired with Khushbu.
Director Vijay Sri G who earlier directed Charu Haasan's 'Da Da 97' has stated in an interview that he was following Mohan for the past two years to convince him to do 'Haraa'. He also added that director H. Vinoth first narrated the story of 'AK 61' to Mohan who could not accept at that time due to various reasons.
'AK 61' produced by Boney Kapoor is currently being shot in Hyderabad with Ajith and an ensemble cast whose names have not been revealed officially yet. On the other hand it is said that Mohan has also been approached to play Vijay's elder brother in the upcoming 'Thalapathy 66'.
After a long hiatus since then, actor Mohan is currently starring in the horror film 'Hara', which is being directed by Vijaysree.
In a recent interview with director Vijaysree in this regard, he said, ‘I have been following Mohan for two years to tell him the story of this film. Vinod, who is currently directing 'AK61', also said that he first told the story of the film to Mohan.
Vijaysree said that the story of the film in which Ajith is currently starring was first told to Mohan by Vijaysree and this has come as a great surprise to the fans.
