Ajmal Ameer, who surprised everyone with the recent hits in 'Anjaathey' and Mollywood film ‘Madambi’, appears to be a different actor from the others in the race. A doctor by profession, he is not rushing into projects but waiting for the right ones to come his way. And as far as now, he haven't signed up for any of the Mollywood films, but seems be concentrating on his Kollywood projects.

Right now, Ajmal is in the sets of his Tamil movie 'TN 07, AL 4777' by director Lakshmy Kanthan. A innovative and experimental remake of Hindi movie 'Taxi No 9211', Ajmal is playing the role of a rich guy in the movie who happens to have his biggest twists in the his life in a taxi owned by Pashupathy.

After this movie Ajmal will play a comic role in Manirathnam's assistant Nandhini’s debut film. The movie is a romantic comedy produced by Sathyam movies. He will then start working for another débutante director Venkat’s film, by next April.
