David Billa is an Ajith-starrer that is seeing a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu. Surely, the modest success of Gambler (Mankatha) is the reason for the popularity (albeit limited) that Ajith and his slick action thriller is enjoying in Andhra Pradesh. Directed by Chakri Toleti of Eenadu fame, David Billa is a prequel to Billa, the Tamil flick.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director, while Parvathi Omanakuttan is the heroine. Meenakshi Deekshit is playing a special role. Veteran actor Prabhu, Bruna Abdullah, Rehman, Sudashu Pandey and others are playing minor roles. Script is by Sarath Mandava, Jaffer Mohammed, Ee. Raa. Murugan.

Ananth Sriram is the lyricist. RD Rajsekhar is the cinematographer. Art is by Selva Kumar. Editing is by Suresh Ars.

Producer Shoba Rani has told the media that post-production is currently on. The audio will be released in the last week. June 2nd week is when the film will be released.
